Hands-on pruning and training of new and established grapevines for wine-making in the Verde Valley.  Explanations of training techniques and irrigation.  Overview of primarily the Bordeaux wine varietals for this region of Arizona.

• We have a number of pruning shears available to participants, however we suggest that if you have your own you may want to bring them to insure that you have an uninterrupted, hands-on experience as you learn the vine pruning technique.

Clear Creek Vineyard and Winery will demonstrate techniques of viticulture learned and refined by vineyard owner Ignacio Mesa, for over a decade at his 8-acre vineyard in Camp Verde, located just before the Forest Service turn-off for Bull Pen at Clear Creek. 100% of the wine made here, comes from this vineyard.

Free wine tasting will be offered to workshop participants.
