SEED LIBRARY

Visit the Seed Library open Saturday, October 24, 11 AM to 1 PM, in the entrance way to the Cottonwoood Library.  This is the last day for the Seed Library until reopening with spring and summer seeds February 20, 2016.

Presently heirloom and organic seeds are available for planting now.  Here is the procedure:

  1. Select up to 5 packets of veggies and/or 5 packets of herbs.  Flower packets are presently not limited.
  2. Sign a slip with the name and variety of each seed packet for inventory purposes.
  3. Enjoy planting and growing your seeds.  All seeds are free of charge and when the time comes, we are asked to save seeds from these plants, label them and bring them in to the library.  In this way we will be developing a valuable resource of seeds that are uniquely adapted to our growing conditions here.
