DESCRIPTION:We are striving to make this event Zero Waste. What does that mean? \n\nBring reusable plates\, containers\, and utensils.\nCompost all organic waste. We will have gardeners and farmers present\, so we will collect organic waste for compost or feed.\nPackaging is the hard one – be aware of what your community recycles\, and separate your trash accordingly\, and pack out recyclables.\nZero waste is defined as 90% diversion from landfill.\n\nNote: There is no water at this campground\, so bring ample water for drinking and extra for washing. \n\n\nGardens for Humanity and Slow Food Prescott have much in common\, and we have increased our collaboration in the last couple of years on many events involving school gardens and local food security. Within our respective communities we have been a catalyst for greater awareness\, knowledge\, and actions to restore and increase our local food and bio-heritage.\n\nThe aim of this event is to celebrate and increase our friendships on both sides of the mountain\, which will bolster our feeling of “being on the same team.”\nFind out more about the Playground Group Campground >>\nDirections >>\nWe invite you to be a part of this growing community!
