SUMMARY:Free Seed Saving Class
DESCRIPTION:Come learn about how to save seeds from the plants you grow in your garden!\nAs a part of the new Verde Valley Seed Library\, classes in seed saving will be held on a regular basis. We offer these informative classes including a seed-saving manual complete with useful resources at no charge. This is the third class\, and all previous ones we well attended and enthusiastic. \nSeed libraries are sprouting across the country\, to revive the over 10\,000-year-old tradition of saving and sharing successful seeds. \nThe Verde Valley Seed Library is sponsored by The Verde Thumbs Gardeners\, a program of Gardens for Humanity\, and supported by the Cottonwood Public Library\, which has welcomed the Seed Library within their facility. \nThe Verde Thumbs Gardeners have been holding a ‘seed swap’ over the last three years\, so gardeners can share vegetable seeds that do well in this area. Now they are extending this opportunity to the whole community by organizing and hosting the new seed library. \nThe next Seed Saving Class will be held on September 19 from 10am-1pm at the Cottonwood Library. \nRegistration is limited for these classes.
