Thank you for registering for the Fall Garden Teaching Tour! For more information please call 928-282-5484 Starting and ending point will be at the home of Karen and Robert O’Donnell Wear comfortable shoes for garden walking, bring water, hat etc to be comfortable in the sun.
Join us at the West Sedona School Garden, Saturday, October 17 for a morning of work and a pot luck. We need to help parents and teachers get the garden ready for some exciting outdoor education experiences.
This will be the last seed saving class until the spring. Also visit the Seed Library open Saturday, October 24, 11 AM to 1 PM, in the foyer to the Cottonwoood Library. This is the last day for the Seed Library until reopening with spring and summer seeds February 20, 2016. Presently heirloom and organic seeds are available for planting now.
Bring your seeds to exchange, packaged in sealed envelopes, labeled with variety, your contact information (in case the recipient has questions) and any interesting information about the plant. Special guest speaker Bill McDorman - Rocky Mountain Seed Alliance.
Enjoy an evening of art, poetry, music and performance by local artists. This joint fundraising event for Red Earth Theatre and Gardens for Humanity will celebrate our connections to the arts, the environment and community.
Learn the ins and outs of Hoop House Gardening with Greening Harmony's Janis Pope. Participants will view structures and discuss the potentials of adding a hoop house to the home garden. Q/A about the "how to's" and pros and cons of its benefits to gardening.
