SUMMARY:Growing Creativity – It’s a Process!
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a celebration of School Gardens and Earth Art throughout the month of May!\nExhibit of Student and Teacher Art will continue until May 29\nSedona Hub\nGROWING CREATIVITY inspired by Gardens and Art in Schools\nWhere artist and gardeners come together a wonderful thing happens: ‘Growing Creativity – It’s a Process’ began through a meet up between muralist – Joan Bourque\, Gardens for Humanity School Garden Coordinator\, Wendy Harford\, and the Verde Valley Montessori School in Cottonwood\, providing experiential learning in planting seeds through process\, and inspiration. \nEarth Day Program:\n 3:00-4:00pm: Colorful Leaf Impressions with Maleita Wise\, BFA.  These impressions are beautiful impressions in foil and colored by kids to take home. \n3:30-4:30pm:  Dancing movements of flowers with Martha Edwards\, MFA Dancing choreography of beautiful flower growing from a seed to a blooming plant. \n3:00-5:00pm:  Planting seeds & flowers with Richard Sidy\, GfH president. children can take home these plants\, feed & and water them & watch them grow. \n3:00-5:00pm:  Recycled animals with Nancy Robb Dunst\, MA\, MC. Making hysterically funny animals with recycled objects to take home and paint. \n3:00-5:00pm:  Creating Vegetables by modeling Clay with Patty Miller\, BFA\, MA. Sculpting vegetables and fruits to take home and paint\, suggesting “Eat all your colors”. \nGfH teaching artists and students will also display art work made during the year. \nFor more information on these programs contact Nancy Robb Dunst\, 928-282-0776\, artists@gardensforhumanity.org \nJoin Gardens for Humanity teaching artists and their students in a Celebration of Art in Earth\, where performance – visual\, and written word – will be provided FREE for your enjoyment\, and local vendors will provide nourishing foods and product. The Visual Art will be up through the end of May and can be viewed during the normal HUB events and open hours.
