Gardening and sensuality, rarely do we hear these words together, yet a garden is one of the most sensual experiences available. Our senses of touch, taste, smell, sound and sight are under constant stimulation in a garden.
When we garden our bodies are constantly producing their own natural chemicals, endorphins and a myriad of other substances to help keep us sane and healthy in body, mind and spirit, an experience that may now be confirmed scientifically. Just being in a garden on a regular basis may be even healthier than eating the harvest of the garden itself!
“Maybe one day the doctors of the future will prescribe 4hrs. daily gardening, see me again in 6 months.”
